Right now, we might be in the middle of winter here in the Bel Air, MD area. Luckily, March isn’t too far off, and that means the introduction of the highly anticipated 2020 Honda CR-V. Here, we’re going to give Bel Air Honda drivers a quick breakdown on the overview, tech, and specs of the upcoming model.

Honda automakers know the value and importance that the Honda CR-V plays in the automaker’s lineup. That’s why for the 2020 model year, this Honda SUV gets a fairly substantial overhaul, from new looks to new engines.

The 2020 Honda CR-V comes with a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that renders 190 horsepower and 179 lb-ft of torque. It’s both more powerful and efficient than the outgoing engine. Launching after the 2020 Honda crossover is a hybrid variant, the 2020 Honda CR-V Hybrid. Here, you’ll get a 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder Atkinson cycle engine that works with two electric motors and a battery pack. The total power output is 212 horsepower.

Inside, you’ll find an upscale interior with pleasant wood accents in the upper trims. Leather upholstery is also available. The flat-load floor system is capable of storing up nearly 40 cubic feet, and all models come standard with automatic climate control and USB ports.

One of the most significant updates to the 2020 model is the inclusion of Honda Sensing® as standard across the lineup. It includes automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, and adaptive cruise control.

We expect to see the 2020 Honda CR-V and CR-V Hybrid models here at Heritage Honda Bel Air by March of 2020. However, if you’re interested in ordering one today, feel free to contact our service staff.
