There are those that think a pickup truck has to look and feel a certain way. After all, pickup trucks are rugged beasts that go off-road and haul massive items like beams of steel while climbing steep mountains.
You don’t buy a pickup to be comfortable. You buy a pickup because you have work to do. At least, that was the case until the 2021 Honda Ridgeline came along.
A Look at the New 2021 Honda Ridgeline
This Honda pickup truck isn’t like your run-of-the-mill pickup. In fact, more and more of the brawny models are taking elements from the Honda Ridgeline. This model stands out for its smooth ride, innovative storage options, and its quiet and comfortable interior.
The 2020 Honda Ridgeline was an excellent midsize pickup truck. However, it didn’t quite look like one. Whether that was to your taste or not, there’s no arguing that the 2021 model looks like a pickup.
The exterior styling has gotten more rigid for the 2021 model year. The grille is bolder. The hood is less swooping, and the cab looks more like a truck than the front of an SUV.
Powering each 2021 Honda Ridgeline is a venerable 3.5-liter V6 engine that puts out 280 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque and is mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission. The Ridgeline is available in both front-wheel and all-wheel drive as well.
Inside, the Honda Ridgeline is virtually unmatched. Above-average materials are present, as well as infotainment. Each Ridgeline offers an eight-inch infotainment system that now features a physical volume knob and easier to use screen icons.
