It’s hard to beat the sleek styling and interior innovation of the Honda Civic. The real question is, do you prefer the sedan or hatchback style? We’re breaking each down at Heritage Honda Bel Air to help you decide.

2022 Honda Civic Sedan

The 2022 Honda Civic now features a refreshed exterior style and even more cargo space. The sleek sedan offers an available turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that generates up to 180 horsepower and 177 lb-ft of torque. Inside, it includes Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ integration, which help you seamlessly connect to your device. It’s also loaded with advanced safety features, which give you added peace of mind on the road.

2022 Honda Civic Hatchback

You’ll also find a new design and features in the 2022 Honda Civic hatchback. It also features an available turbocharged engine for the same impressive power. It has a new tailgate design with a wider and lower opening that helps you easily access its expansive cargo space. The cabin is loaded with comfort and advanced amenities including leather-trimmed seats, an eight-way power driver’s seat, heated front seats, and a one-touch power moonroof.

The Key Differences

Of course, the key difference between the sedan and the hatchback is their cargo areas. The hatchback can hold an impressive 24.5 cubic feet of cargo, while the sedan’s cargo space tops out at 14.8 feet. The hatchback has a liftgate that opens to the cargo area, while the sedan has a separate trunk. The vehicles have a few exterior differences, too, including different front grilles and rear taillights. The hatchback does feature more legroom than before, but it still doesn’t feature as spacious of a cabin as the sedan.
