The Honda Civic Hatchback and Honda Civic Sedan are both sleek spacious vehicles that are fun to drive. While they have many similar features, they are also distinctly different. We’re looking at them both at Heritage Honda Bel Air to help you choose a favorite.
Both are Fun to Drive
When it comes to premium performance, both the hatchback and sedan are tied head-to-head. They each can be equipped with an available in-line four-cylinder turbocharged engine which delivers up to 180 horsepower and 177 lb-ft of torque.
The sedan, however, is more fuel efficient than the hatchback, even though it matches its impressive power.
They Each Have a Distinct Style
The key difference between the Honda Civic Hatchback and Honda Civic Sedan is their body styles. The five-passenger sedan is a four-door car with a separate trunk. The five-passenger hatchback adds a fifth door on the rear of the vehicle, which opens like a tailgate, making it easy to access its versatile cabin.
You’ll Find Extra Cargo Space in the Hatchback
Both of these spacious vehicles have identical interior dimensions and passenger volume. The Honda Civic Sedan delivers an ample 14.8 cubic feet of cargo space in its trunk. The Honda Civic Hatchback provides a notable 24.5 cubic feet of cargo space behind its rear seats, or you can fold them to truly maximize the space.
They Have Different Line-Ups
Both the hatchback and the sedan are offered in three distinct trim levels. The Honda Civic Sedan trim levels include Sport, EX, and Touring. The Honda Civic Hatchback trim levels include Sport, EX-L, and Sport Touring.
